Review:

Canadian metal mainstays ANVIL with their 13th album hence the title THIS IS THIRTEEN or aka T.I.T. for short. This now 3 piece brings back a legend from the ANVIL past in producer Chris Tsangarides to produce, he produced their 2 classics METAL ON METAL and FORGED IN FIRE. And those were many years ago now but the feel after 1st listen brings back some memories from those releases. Title and lead track stomps out of the gate with a feel from the Forged in Fire days and they don`t really let up for the whole cd with metal mashers like AXE TO GRIND, SHOULD`A WOULD` A COULD`A , and FEED THE GREED. Not sounding they are anywhere close to their age they pull off a impressive Metal album but as of now is only limited to sales through their website. Of all the releases since the classics mentioned above this album probably comes the closest to recapturing that sound and feel.
