INTO ETERNITY THE SCATTERING OF ASHES 2006 REVIEWED BY BLAKE
|
Review: Into
Eternity's 4th release finds more lineup changes with the addition of
Stu Bloch (vocals) and Troy Beich (bass/voacls) to main stays Tim Roth
and Jim Austin. This band hailing from the western Canada and producing
one of the most difficult bands to categorize. When the vocals go from
death growling to clean vocals to patented Halford like screams it is
hard to put a metal label on them. I have still not come across another
band that does the changes so well and they sound so well going from
one extreme to the other. So you could call them progressive, death,
thrash, or just plain old Heavy. Die hard death metal fans might have a
problem with the progressive moments and vice versa so they are aquired
taste but one listen will tell you whether you love them or hate them.
The music is top notch and could very well make them the best Metal
band out of Canada currently. My only complaint or that I was was
different was I wish the songs were longer and the whole cd clocks in
at 41 minutes which is shorter then most bands release nowadays but
there is no filler songs on this and it is another step in influencing
more bands like this. FAV CUTS: Rating: 8.5 |
