HALFORD

RESURRECTION

2000

Review: Rob Halford former leather lunged screamer of Judas Priest is back with his new solo effort. He is definitely in good metal screaming form. Hard to believe he has been appearing on albums since 1973!!! There is some real rockers on this one especially with Locked and Loaded a metal fist pumping delight, Silent Screams a power ballad that really kicks in at the end and The One you Love to Hate with Bruce Dickinson appearing on that one with lead vocals as well. Those 3 songs really rock and explode with the same power of classic Priest. This is a good album BUT it could of been better.....there are some songs that just seem to sit there and not jump out at you. Kinda bored me with a few like Slow Down, and Twist. I really think this could of been a 10 if they kept with the fast heavy rocking songs but like I say it slows down and drags on a few songs. But the ones that smoke do you really smoke and sound even better live.

Fav Cuts: Locked and Loaded, The One You Love to Hate, Made in Hell.
