Warning!! Warning!! This is not OPERATION MINDCRIME, or should I say this is not the QUEENSRYCHE that I grew up with. Where are the vocals and the range that appealed to the masses? I kind of knew from just looking at the track listing that I may be a tad bit disappointed; with song titles like RETAIL THERAPY, LUVNU, HOT SPOT JUNKIE ..Well you get the point!! How could this compare to the classics!! Maybe I’m being too harsh because it is hard to try to contend with the classic metal records from years ago but with so much creative ability in a band you would think years later they would still have the “mojo” to write something that was close to compare, not saying DEDICATED TO CHAOS doesn’t have some potential but the band just didn’t push the limits to where I think they could of went. The songs just seem really cookie cutter and basic and well the vocals are so “everyday and boring” I WANT TO HEAR THE WAIL of diversity but I guess Geoff has lost the charisma. I can’t even give you a track that I could show my support in which is sad, I want to go back to sleep and wake up and this album never was put out (I know I’m being a word that rhymes with Witch!!, but this girl has a opinion and is sharing it, you don’t have to agree.)       QUEENSRYCHE was one of the essential bands in the development of progressive metal and is and will be the band that turned heads and earned respect throughout the 80’s and I give it to them this is the 12th studio record and I guess fans still adore what they have to offer and to be a band for 30 years is no easy feat but for this girl who grew up with the likes of THE WARNING, RAGE FOR ORDER and the quintessential OPERATION MINDCRIME these boys have really stuck a dagger in the soul of this metal Chica!
