Review:
Canadian metal thrash legend Jeff Waters and his band with what could be the best Annihilator release. Featuring numerous guest performers from the Metal world. There is no shortage of heavy riffing and ripping solos. Mike Mangini's drum work explodes through this release especially on tracks DOWNRIGHT DOMINATE and DETONATION. Guests featured on this release include Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), Angela Gossow, Michael Amott (Arch Enemy), Lips (Anvil), William Adler (Lamb of God) and others. No ballads to hold back this album as it is one song after another of crushing metal riffs. The track ARMY OF ONE being a salute to Metal music. My lone disappointment is the track COUPLE SUICIDE featuring Angela Gossow and Danko Jones as I think Angela's great vocals were misused or should I say not used enough. But the rest of the album is just kicking riff heavy metal. Every metal fan should have this one even just to hear Slayer, Sabbath, Maiden, and a few other metal legend bands mentioned in a song.Fav Cuts: Army of One, Chasing the High, Kicked
