THE
METAL PIT: Why do you listen to Heavy Metal?
It sounds funny to people who don't listen to it but it relaxes me when
I'm stressed out and makes me smile. To be honest I listen to a wide
range of music. Anything from Enya to Cradle of Filth. I prefer to
listen to to metal though. Much like classical music such as Mozart or
Beethoven, It switches and changes expressing a flood of different
emotions. To me it's more than loud noise and guitar. For the musicians
that truly love to play and aren't in it to just make a living out of
it, it's art.
THE METAL PIT: What was your first metal concert? Ummmm... It was so long ago... It was either Rage or Korn...

THE METAL PIT: Your top 5 Metal bands?
Tool, Sevendust, Alice in chains, Primus, Slipknot. Only 5...
THE METAL PIT: Your favorite local bands?
Ransom, Less than under, Cevrance, Apathy,
Relevent, Spools of dark thread, Born in winter, Horse.... Check out
all the bands on our sight and on myspace.
THE METAL PIT: What band or moment in your life got you into listening to metal?
I
think it was just a progression. I grew up listening to classic rock
and it progressed into that I guess... Korn's self titled album was a
huge influence and I loved old Metallica. And Justice For All was my
favorite. Not dogging but both bands have been a disappointment to me
in the last few years.
THE METAL PIT: What is the best thing about going to a metal concert?
FUN!!! I love
jamming out! I take out all my aggression and leave dripping in sweat.
The music seems to flow through you when it's live.
THE METAL PIT: If you can only pick one what is your favorite metal album of all time
and why?
Oh god... I can't! Every album has songs that I love.
THE METAL PIT: Outside of Heavy Metal what is most important in your life?
My son of
course. He is the best mistake I ever made. My life would be
meaningless without him.
THE METAL PIT: Tell us about your involvement in residentrockstar.org and your METAL
MAIDEN's page ?
We are a local street team that loves metal and does
anything in our power to help support local music and keep the
lifestyle going. We help promote local bands. We help sell their merch,
Create and hand out fliers and tickets to their shows. We model for and
with them. Pretty much anything that they need help with. Please check
us out! We are also avidly seeking other promoters and venues to
partner with. Amy is the founder and president. RESIDENT ROCK STAR WEBSITE

THE METAL PIT: What is the best club/arena that you have seen a metal concert at?
The World arena in Colorado springs. Slipknot.
THE METAL PIT:
What is your favorite metal concert you have seen?
Either Tool or Sevendust. Both were great!

THE METAL PIT: What do you think of females in metal music, whether its females in
metal bands or just female metal fans?
I think that there should be
more of us as far as fans go. To be honest, I don't get along with too
many females but the the ones that I have met who are into metal are
bad ass! As far as bands go, A lot of them are not quite heavy enough
for me. There are some however that totally kick ass although they are
not main stream. to all of you who are in to chick metal, check out
Born in Winter. You will not be let down.
THE
METAL PIT: Which metal band from the past do you wish could or would regroup to do
a tour?
I never got to see Pantera but that would probably be the most
common answer. I miss Lance from Alice in Chains...
THE METAL
PIT: What does it mean to be a Metal Maiden of the Month?
I am flattered and
appreciate the exposure for sure! For all the girls involved with
Residentrockstar.org and to all the local metal bands that we love and
support, I thank you all! Thank you for the attention and the time
given to me and all the hard core Metal Maidens everywhere! Much love!
THE METAL PIT: Thanks
for being the Metal Maiden of the month.. Any closing thoughts to the
viewers of THE METAL PIT?
Not a single band that you hear on the radio started big. Please
support the local metal too because without the little guys, Our way of
life will be over before you know it.
