Review: Dio's concept cd. Probably best release since Dream Evil. Its full of good metal type Dio songs. A veteran lineup with Graig Goldy (guitar) Jimmy Bain(bass) and Simon Wright(drums). Last track is just Dio narrating the Magica story.....I have not yet taken the time to listen to that yet. The song Challis starts out like Cat Scratch Fever......thats what I hear anyway....but just the start. Eriel reminds me a lot of Egypt (from Last in Line)There is a bunch of good songs.... hard to narrow down to some favs. The ballad doesn't do anything for me.....but they usually don't. Losing my Insanity has some flutes and strings at the opening then it kicks in in true Dio style. If your a diehard Dio fan I am sure you will like this one better then the last few releases. The Magicastory you will have to buy it if you want to know....cause to deep for me to get into.
