IRON MAIDEN
LIVE AFTER
DEATH 1985 |
Review: So after 5 studio albums Maiden release their 1st full length live release. Recorded on the World Slavery tour in support of Powerslave album. As live albums go this is one of the best. My first time seeing Maiden live was on this tour so it was sort of special in that sense for me too. The band was all pumped up for these shows and knowing they wanted to put in top perfomances, not that they don't do it for every show. Leading off with Churchill's speech and kicking into Aces High then right into Two Minutes to Midnight and the show is on full tilt. Everyone is gonna have their fav songs left off live albums or live concerts for that matter but they had a good mixture with the 17 Maiden classics they did and masterfully done as well. The only thing missing is getting to see Eddie stroll across the stage. Picking fav songs from 17 Maiden classics is tough to do. Fav Cuts: Rime of the Ancient
Mariner, Number of the Beast, Hallowed by thy Name |
