IRON MAIDEN KILLERS 1981 |
Review: The 2nd release. Adrian Smith enters on guitars as Dennis Stratton exits. Leaving off where their debut ended but with the progression musically. Gotta love that cover, my fav cover of all the Maiden albums. The title track still being one of my fav Maiden songs of all time. Another Life is a great song but lacking in many lyrics so they really could of did more with that song. The short rockers like Wrathchild, Murders in the Rue Morgue just fly by. All songs are pretty good but the standouts that I have mentioned make the others seem more filler but they still are great tracks. Some people might say this is the best Maiden album and for me it ranks 2nd after the Beast. This is Paul Di'anno's swan song with Maiden, at least for studio album. Again another classic and Paul has released many recordings since of him doing is fav Maiden songs and can you blame him. This is a must have for a real metal fan if they want to know how the legends did it in the beginning. Fav Cuts: Killers, Another Life, Wrathchild Rating: 9 |
