HOSTILE  a 5 piece from Black Country, UK which has been called the birthplace of Heavy Metal as thats the same area of the creation of Sabbath so maybe there is something in the water their. Formed in 2006 the band was heard by Metal Legend KK Downing of Judas Priest fame of course. KK liked the band so much and saw potential in them that he decided to produce their debut cd EVE OF DESTRUCTION. Now just cause KK is on board and he even wrote one of the songs for the album HOSTILE doesn't sound like Judas Priest. They are more in the Pantera or Machine Head kinda metal influences. Lots of heaviness and thrashiness. A few slower cuts but they always get heavy and loud. Song titles tell you the story of the type of lyrics and even the sound with songs like FUELED BY HATE, BRUTAL IMAGES and of course the ones I can't play for my kids I DON'T GIVE A F**K. Two stand out tracks for me are the tracks HOSTILE and STAND YOUR GROUND.
As if the KK connection isn't enough Priest influence to the band but bassist Alex Hill is the son of Ian Hill of Priest. And just having KK on board helping out will teach a young band so many things about Metal and the music world so this band lucked out cause of where they live.
