DIO HOLY DIVER 1983 REVIEWED BY BLAKE
|
Review: The debut solo DIO disc. HOLY DIVER delivered total proof that DIO is the metal master and his stints as vocalist for classic bands RAINBOW and SABBATH were not just right place at right time. This 9 song metal classic is one no metalhead should be without. From the opening riffs of STAND UP AND SHOUT to enormous title track, to moody closer SHAME ON THE NIGHT this is just a total classic. Back to a time where Vivian Campbell played real guitar music and a killer band of Vinny Appice and Jimmy Bain rounding it out. And lets not forget the awesome album cover too. FAV CUTS: Holy Diver, Invisible, Don't Talk to Strangers Rating: 9.5 |
