Review:
The
King has entered the building with another slab of horror induced metal
along the same lines of what you would come to expect with KING
DIAMOND. Another concept album story which tells the story with each
song. Just a average album with some great usual rockers like with
NEVER ENDING HILL and MIRROR MIRROR. Some of the songs seem to be just
for telling the story where the music isn't much of a concern. The
guitar solo tradeoffs with long time KING sidekick ANDY LA ROCQUE and
MIKE WEAD are great and missing in to many of todays modern metal
bands. I am surprised KING has never released a dvd/video cd as that
would be something to see and make up for the lack of creativity in
some of the music writing. Still good songs just not enough that really
stand out and to kick to a high level like older KING or MERCYFUL FATE.
Still long live the KING.
