Review:
FORME a progressive intrumental band from Montreal, Quebec. This
EP FLUX features 4 tracks of what you would expect from a progressive
metal outfit with tempo and level changes bringing out influences from
bands like Dream Theater and Pink Floyd. All the musicianship is top of
the line and the only way to go for this band is up. Featuring
guitarists Tom Daigle, and Andy Kerr, on bass Tony Zavaglia and drummer
Noah Hassan. The EP starts off with a heavy fast rocking opener. Tracks
2 and 3 both feature heavy moments and tempo changes to lighter moments
and tempo changes. And the closer has some spoken words and lots of
what some might call psychedlic feel to it ala Pink Floydish. This is a
good opening teaser from this band and I think all Prog metal fans
would enjoy this and look forward to what comes next from these guys.
They are scheduled to go into the studio this summer to record a
cd/dvd. If your in the Montreal area make sure you check them out and
go to there myspace page for more info on the band.
