Review:
In today's Metal scene it is not that common to find a band that is heavy and melodic at the same time. In 2007 such a band came to us from Los Angeles California and their name is "Five Finger Death Punch" or "FFDP" as their growing legion of fans calls them.The band's lineup of former Metal musicians is very impressive and the leader of that all star team is Ivan Moody fomerly the lead singer for Motograter.Make no mistake,this guy can sing or scream with the best of them. He has a very unique and powerful voice that shows an amazing range from the deepest growls to actual harmonies.
Their first single "The Bleeding" shows that range at it's finest. It starts out almost ballad like but with some very cool sounding "Haunting" guitar work then assaults your eardrums from out
of no where.
Some of my favorites on the cd are...the title track,"The Way of the Fist","Death before Dishonor" "White Knuckles" and "Salvation".But quite honestly there are no weak tracks on this cd.
You get the whole package with these guys my brothers and sisters......Great vocals, excellent musicianship,intelligent lyrics,crunching riffs and songs that you can sing along with.
In my opinion this band is going to Explode in the very near future because they are just too talented to be ignored.
I highly recommend "Way of the Fist" and I dont think any real Metalhead would disagree.
This rates a "10" on my scale.
