BRUCE DICKINSON ANTHOLOGY 2006
|
Review: The
Air Raid Siren releasing his DVD anthology. There is not shortage of quantity
here. 3 Dvd's featuring 3 concerts spanning his solo career. Each concert
featuring different musicians. The 1st one is from 1990 on his Tattooed
Millionaire tour which features Bruce's version of ACDC classic Sin City
and Deep Purple's Black Night which is cool to hear his take on them and
he also does Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter taking from the Maiden
album No Prayer. 2nd concert is from his Skunkworks tour in 1996, here he
does Maiden's Prisoner and his classic Tears of the Dragon. Final concert
is from 1998 using the video display at the concert for the fans so not
the greatest video production but a raw feel of actually being there. Shortly
after this the dvd states he went back to join Maiden. Adrian Smith is in
Bruce's band for this tour so thats a plus. DVD 3 contains all of his videos
he made from his solo career with Bruce explaing the reasoning going into
each video. 14 videos in all and a lot I was viewing for the first time
on here. Bruce also gives his thoughts on his last solo cd Tyranny of Souls
and something really from the archives with him in his first band Samson
in some cheesy metal videos but still fun to see. This is definitly worth
the money for what you get. Air Raid Siren fans will eat it up.
