Review: 

        DREAM THEATER'S AWAKE continues in the progressive metal vein that DT is known for. Following the masterful IMAGES AND WORDS is a tough task. I would say this one is not as metallic as IMAGES but still with great DT moments. Most notably closer SPACE-DYE VEST and instrumental EROTOMANIA being a classic piece they still play live a lot as it shows the precission musicians they are. This is probably one of my least favorite DT releases but that said still is a good album just not a highlight for me but you ask other DT fans and some will say this is the best which is the great thing about this band, it isn't just one album that everyone likes as everyone will have their favs of there catalogue.
